The NSGConnect mentor program promotes a professional and social platform connecting members across all career stages, positions, and specialties in networking, career development and exploring new roles to enrich the profession.

Start using NSGConnect today by following these three simple steps: 

1. Enroll As a Mentor or Mentee 

Are you looking to be a mentor or mentee? Perhaps both? Sign up using the forms below. 

Check all relevant boxes on your profile - the most information your provide, the more opportunities you have for connections. Please note that some fields are required for enrollment. Keep in mind: in order to request a mentor, you must be enrolled as a mentee and in order to request a mentee, you must be enrolled as a mentor. You may be enrolled as both a mentor and a mentee. 

2. Search for Mentors/Mentees

Use the Mentor and Mentee Directories to find available mentors and/or mentees. The search engine uses AND logic, meaning only profiles matching all selected criteria will appear. For best results, limit your initial search to 1 - 2 checkboxes. Experiment with different searches to explore various mentor or mentee options, limiting your criteria to just a few for each search. 

3. Connect with Mentors or Mentees

Next, click on the member's name that you're interested in establishing a mentor/mentee connection with. THe link will bring you to their profile page. Read more about them. If you think they are a good fit, look under their profile image for a green "Request as a Mentor" or blue "Request as a Mentee" button, which will allow you to request your desired connection. 

With NSGConnect, you get to decide the length of your relationship with a mentor or mentee. If you need to speak with someone once over a cup of coffee, or once a month over the phone for a year, NSGConnect allows you to drive the pace of your relationship.  

Increase your connections 

Complete your NSGCommunities profile. Make sure your contact information is up to date, add a recent professional profile picture, expand on your bio, and add your education and job history information. Your bio is also a great place to share more about your background such as your pronouns and affinity groups you're involved in. Having a complete and accurate profile is crucial to the success of selection and matching.

This community is accessible only to registered mentors and mentees. Please note that in order to be considered a registered mentor or mentee, you must complete the mentor and/or mentee questionaries linked above. It may take up to 24 hours after you have completed your questionnaire for the NSGConnect Community to appear in your "My Communities" tab.
