I graduated from the Sarah Lawrence College Genetic Counseling Program in 2008, and I am currently a Licensed Genetic Counselor, Assistant Professor-Clinical at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. I work specifically with GU cancer patients clinically and on a research basis.
I am involved in NSGC as the current Co-Chair of the Cancer SIG, the past Chair of the Outreach and Retention Committee, and the past Chair of the NSGConnect Program. I am also the past Co-Chair for the state of Ohio Partners for Cancer Control, with the purpose to implement The Ohio Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan of 2021-2030. I am involved in The Ohio State University Genetic Counseling Graduate Program as a supervisor, thesis advisor, mentoring program coach, and on the admissions committee. I am also excited to report that I have been working with a few Ohio genetic counselors over the last year to establish the Ohio Association of Genetic Counselors and I am the past President.
I love being involved in NSGC as I can utilize my passion for mentorship and teaching as well as meet new GCs that inspire me everyday. In my free time, I love spending time with my two kids and husband, reading a good book, watching TV, and watching sports, particularly St. Louis sports like Cardinals baseball and OSU football.
