Lauri has been a practicing genetic counselor since 1998 prior to completing her graduate program at the University of California Berkeley and has been board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling since 1999. She has been licensed in the state of California since licensure has been available in 2012.
Lauri has worked in reproductive genetics for her entire career, providing genetic counseling for male and female factor infertility, preimplantation genetic testing, genetic carrier screening, prenatal testing, and genetic risk assessment for potential gamete donors.
She began her career at University of California San Francisco’s Medical Center and then moved to California Pacific Medical Center in late 2001. In December of 2010, Lauri started her private practice. She also serves as the Director of Clinical Genetics at Pacific Fertility Center in San Francisco, California. In 2022, Lauri became the Director of Genetic Services for Inception Fertility.
Lauri Founded and Chaired the ASRM Genetic Counseling SIG in 2003 and continues to be an active member. She has also been Secretary, Co-chair and continuing member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors’ ART/Infertility SIG.
She has consistently presented at professional venues such as ASRM, PGDIS and NSGC’s annual conferences throughout her entire career and has published numerous peer reviewed articles and co-authored Practice Committee Statements for ASRM.
